Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental health disorders by psychological rather than medical means. Psychotherapy is diverse and offers various types of therapeutic modalities. Each person who enters therapy has different mental health concerns and therefore has different emotional needs. The individuals’ concerns will determine what kind of treatment modalities will work best for them.

Our practice provides psychotherapy under these modalities:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy/Self-advocacy (CFT)
  • Culturally Sensitive Therapy
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (M-BCT)
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Strengths-Based Therapy
